Lead by Example
I am a personal trainer always looking for new ways to motivate my friends, family, and clients to stay fit and healthy. Having 3 kids in sports and activities and a husband active with the military our days are full. I keep my workouts going even during the toughest times and schedules. I try to instill the importance of health and fitness by demonstrating that balance is the key to staying healthy. Looking young and feeling strong are wonderful by-products. I believe energy feeds off of energy. I like to work out first thing most mornings as it jumpstarts my day. The day can get busy and the workout can easily get pushed back or just ousted altogether. Personally, working out is like brushing my teeth...it is a priority in my life and something I do daily. If I don't workout I don't feel like my day is complete. Not to mention how much less energy and motivation I seem to have the rest of the day. This is what works for me. At age 41 I face many physiological challenges ahead of me, but I choose to embrace them and be the best I can be. If looking at me causes someone to say "hey, I want to be like her when I get into my 40's," then I lead by example.
